About Individual U.

Some students have clearly diagnosed learning disabilities, while others have learning differences that fall beneath a diagnostic threshold. There are students whose imposing brilliance and imagination need to be mentored at the highest levels, while others suffer from being uneven in their academic abilities and are frequently misunderstood; another group struggles with being different, quirky, or just "not fitting in." And yet others are in danger of drowning in a swift current of learning, emotional, and family issues. For students like these, and many others, an individualized approach can be of enormous benefit.

Individual U. is an innovative remediation and enrichment program. Our team responds to the needs of each student and family with a uniquely integrated, 1:1 mentoring program comprised of academic remediation and enrichment, social and emotional insight, and movement, meditation and chi-channeling practices that promote self-esteem.

Individual U. is located in a welcoming townhouse environment on Manhattan's Upper East Side. We work with students in grades K-12, college, and beyond, as well as those who are in school transition, out of school, and various homeschooling and life path situations.
